Well folks, its the first day of August and fall is just around the corner. You know what that means…football, football, football! And we all know THAT means… tailgating food and drinks. Some of you may cringe when you read the new few words but we have decided to also have a nutrition challenge this fall. With all of the success from the challenge this past winter, we saw some amazing transformations! There are going to be a few more obstacles to overcome with it being tailgating season with the dips, chili’s, drinks, etc. but let’s not fall off the wagon too much! I know Coach Philip Cala is probably jumping for joy to hear this news! For those of you who don’t know Philip, he is one of the coaches at the gym and also provides nutritional consulting. If you are interested in learning more about nutrition and getting some one-on-one nutritional guidance contact Philip…email@example.com. Keep in mind that many of you have registered for various competitions this fall and maintaining good nutrition will be very important for those events!
CFP will also be adding a third class to the course list for Auburn University. Tell your friends about it if they are interested in the course because it fills up quick! We will also be adding a 9:00 a.m. class to Fridays this fall. Currently our 9:00 a.m. class is only Monday through Thursday and with its success we have decided to offer it on Fridays.
Beginning August 4th we have added an 11:00 a.m. Saturday class! The 10:00 a.m. class will remain as well but for those of you who like to sleep in on Saturdays, maybe you can make the 11:00 class?!?! Also, keep in mind that throughout the fall, we often cancel Saturday classes all together depending on the football schedule. Auburn roadways are not efficient to handle the thousands of people who flock to home games and it often makes it difficult for members to navigate their way to the gym. We will notify you of these cancellations as they come up.
Also, we are proud to announce Ian Morgan and Quinn Otte have joined the coaching staff at CFP! They will be filling in on various class times and as some of the larger classes grow, there will be two coaches for those classes. For more information about Ian and Quinn, you can check out their information on our website. http://crossfitontheplains.com/our-coaches
